Ross Martin is well known vocalist in the area having been the lead singer for the R/R group Studebaker Seven for 11 years in La Crosse. He was also lead singer in the funk group Three Beers to Dubuque and the rock and roll band Teachers Pet. Ross has also shared his abilities as a jazz vocalist with several accomplished area musicians including Terry Dillon, Ken Killian and Phil Stiemke. Ross has extensive professional experience while living in California. He sang with the Grammy- Nominated LA Jazz Choir for five years, performed with the Doo-Wop Double Date at Universal Studios for 6 years and was featured on two sitcoms, Anything but Love on ABC and The People Next Door on CBS. Ross was also active as a studio singer having recorded on countless projects. One of his many highlights was singing with Rosemary Clooney at the Hollywood Bowl and being a featured vocalist for the legendary John Williams. Ross ’A Capella group The Glee Club enjoyed success as they were runner up in the West Coast region of the National A cappella Competition and singing for industrial shows through out the country including jobs in Hawaii, Nashville, New Orleans, and Milwaukee. Ross spent nearly 30 years as a music educator and is originally from the Bloomington, Bagley area.
