Marquette & Jolliet 350th Expedition Celebration
Join the community on June 16-18, 2023 for a historic event…the re-creation of Marquette & Jolliet exploratory expedition that happened in Prairie du Chien. Participate in many activities and events as well as watch the reenactment of the voyage by actors as they land at St. Feriole Island on the beautiful Mississippi River.

Thursday Night Farmers Market
Thursday Night Farmers Market is held downtown during the summer which includes live, local music and local vendors showcasing products made and produced by local producers.
Concerts on the River
Concerts on the River is held on St. Feriole Island during the summer on Thursday evenings featuring local musicians. Music will entertain all ages! Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the festivities while enjoying the local music.
Crazy Days
Take part in downtown Prairie du Chien Main Street Crazy Days! This event is held downtown during the summer where local businesses offer sidewalk and in-store specials. These ‘crazy’ deals only happen on a limited basis so make sure to check out the local specials during Crazy Days.
Downtown Beatification
Prairie du Chien takes pride in making sure it’s main street is safe, clean and beautified! A group of individuals are responsible for making sure it’s main street is decorated and welcoming for visitors. Some of the downtown beautification includes summer floral arrangements, fall arrangements, street banners, christmas decorations, halloween decorating contest and clean up days. No matter what time of year, be sure to enjoy the main street decorations!
Prairie Pub Crawl
Join the community in a pub crawl held every fall! Enjoy the tastes and sounds of local establishments as they put on an amazing, community event. This crawl features the latest brews and non-alcoholic drinks for all taste buds. Bring a group and come taste the local drinks during this fun event!
Shopping Events
Throughout the year, Prairie du Chien Main Street sponsors a variety of events such as Shop Small Saturday and Santa Shops Small. Almost every holiday will have special events and reasons to visit Prairie du Chien Main Street!
Main Street Morning Mixer
Join us for a Morning Mixer in the spring time dedicated to the local main street businesses featuring brunch-style foods and beverages such as Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Moscow Mules. Get a wristband and plan to stop at a variety of participating establishments featuring food and drinks everyone will love!
